Three holy kings from the Orient
Asked all who met them,
Dear boys and girls, we pray you tell
Where goes the road to Bethlehem?

Neither young nor old could tell,
The kings kept going onward;
They followed a golden star,
That sparkled lovingly downward.

The star stood still over Joseph's house,
Inviting the kings to enter;
The oxen bellowed, the child cried,
And the kings sang sweet and tender
